Dear PVA Families,
We have exciting news to share. Our school has raised $114,000! As a reward for hitting our $110,000 fundraising goal, Lower School students (K-5th grade) will receive an extended recess with popsicles and music during their double resource block. And, Upper School students (6th & 7th grade) will receive free choice seating during lunch for a full week. These rewards will take place the week of November 18th.
Tonight is the last night to submit online donations to count towards school and prize incentives. If we hit our $140,000 fundraising goal, all students will get to attend an assembly to watch school administration and staff participate in a friendly wrestling tournament wearing inflatable sumo outfits!
And, the top fundraising class (highest percentage towards class goal as of 11:59 p.m.) wins a VIP Party at Bravoz, including pizza, drinks and all-access passes for the whole class!

Also, tomorrow is the Upper School’s Color Run! If you have a child participating or plan on attending, here are some important things to know:
Students should wear the white t-shirt they received and athletic shoes. Also, students should only bring a gym bag/draw string bag and/or a purse with a water bottle and a towel; they should not bring backpacks. This is to minimize the mess and staining of personal items from the color powder.
- Extended day students must bring a change of clothes and will be required to change after the Color Run.
- Bus riders must bring a towel to sit on during the bus ride home. Bus riders will not have time to change before dismissal.
- Car/cart riders and walkers/bikers will not have time to change before dismissal. We advise they bring a towel to clean up with/sit on for the ride home.
Each student will receive a pair of sunglasses to wear during the event. And, those students who reach the $50 fundraising goal will also receive their bandanna prize to wear.
If your child is asthmatic and/or you have any health concerns associated with the Color Run, your child can use the inner part of the track to minimize their exposure to the color powder and/or watch the event from the spectator area outside of the track. Water will be available throughout the event and additional medical/nursing staff will be on site to ensure the health and well-being of all students.
If attending, plan to arrive 20 minutes before the scheduled event to allow time to find parking and get checked‐in. Parking will be available in the visitor parking lot, overflow lot and along the main road. The golf cart parking lot will also be open. If you park in the visitor parking lot, be aware that your vehicle may be blocked by the afternoon car line.

Upon arrival, go to the field entrance adjacent to the cafeteria (there will be posted signs to direct you – do not go to the front office). At the check-in table, show your driver’s license to receive your field access badge, which will grant access in/out of the field area only; you will not be allowed inside the school. The restrooms in the front office will be available for use. (See map for reference.)
If you didn’t RSVP, you can still attend. However, plan for a longer wait as priority will be given to RSVP check-ins. You need to have a School Access Form on file and will be required to show your driver’s license. If the school is unable to clear you, you may still watch the event from behind the fence.
