PVA News

Dear Bobcat Families,

Thank you for supporting Palm Valley Academy with a very successful Bobcat Bolt and Color Run.  Our students will enjoy their school wide rewards this week for helping us reach our goal of raising $110,000!!!!  Our lower school (elementary) students will enjoy a double block of play time outside and popsicles during their assigned grade level PLC day and our upper school (middle) students will have free seating during lunch Monday-Friday!  It is our goal to distribute individual prizes by Friday, November 22nd.

Interims were sent home with our 1st and 2nd grade students yesterday and Interim grades were published to Home Access Center (HAC) for students in 3rd-7th grade.

Picture Re-Takes will be this Thursday, November 21st.  This picture session is for all students who were absent on picture day, new students who have enrolled since picture day, and anyone who is choosing to have their student’s picture retaken.  If you are electing to have your child’s picture retaken, you will need to email your homeroom teacher (K-5th) or your 4th period teacher (6th-7th) to let them know your child needs to be sent for a picture retake.  You also need to return the first set of pictures to school to be returned to Leonards.

Media Center News PVA is pleased to announce that Ms. Summer Hoppenworth is the new Media Specialist for Palm Valley Academy.  We are grateful to Ms. Kate Neff who launched our Media Center with gusto and set us up for success as a K-8 library that is bustling with reading enthusiasts.  Ms. Neff has accepted a job at Pedro Menendez High School.  Ms. Neff has been a mentor to Ms. Hoppenworth, who has been serving as our Media Paraprofessional and this transition was a natural next step for Ms. Hoppenworth.  We are excited for Ms. Hoppenworth to start this next chapter of her professional journey and welcome her into her new role!

PVA Art Show and Jazz Band Performance On Thursday, November 21st PVA will showcase individual student art that has been created by all students K-7th grade.  Your student’s masterpiece will be framed and on display for viewing and purchase.   Proceeds from this event will benefit our art classes and art programs at Palm Valley Academy.  Our PVA Jazz Band will also be performing while you enjoy looking at student art.  This event is an open-house format and you may come to school anytime between 6:00-7:30 pm.

PVA Lost and Found  All Lost and Found items will be donated to charity on Tuesday, November 26th.  If your student is missing an item, they can check the lost and found during their lunch time.
